Mama Nous's songs are balm for the soul and armour for life! Their words sustain and build emotional health and strength, often with gentle humour & always with insight & wisdom
They shine with empathy and kindness, and repay repeated listening, until the words and music become part of one's daily practice in one's efforts to build resilience.
Ostensibly for children - these songs have become important in the lives of my young grandchildren; my adult children and myself (especially "I'm Proud Of Myself" which helps my ADHDself on a pretty-much daily basis!)
Don't underestimate these songs because of the gentleness of the words and softness of Mama Nous's lovely voice - these songs are STRONG!
I bought this CD to give to my niece's 4 year old twins, but also downloaded it to my phone and have found myself playing it on repeat while I'm driving. I love these songs! They nourish my inner child, too! Thank you Mama nous!
I find myself singing "worrying has never changed a thing" whenever I overthink and ruminate over the stupidest little things. It's so strange and sensible how something sung melodically sticks better than just telling myself something.
I love these songs. They are so wonderful. The lyrics are awesome. And when my daughter plays them on repeat, they are very tolerable.
My only complaint is despite hearing numerous times. I can’t remember the words to. I’m proud of myself.
Great songs, great music, amazing talent, and most importantly, an awesome message
This one really tickles the 1990s-kid-who's-raising empathetic-kids vibes. The melody is excellent, the lyrics are clever, the meter is tricky in an impressive but not show-off way, and it explores weighty emotional topics in an approachable but not didactic way. My whole family loves this one very much.
